The new “Science” ChatGPT plugin by OA.mg brings the power of scientific research to ChatGPT, unlocking new possibilities for students and researchers.
Combining OpenAI’s conversational artificial intelligence chatbot with our semantic search, you can find scientific papers and scholarly articles from the world’s largest database of papers.
The plugin extracts keywords from the user’s query and semantically search through title, abstract, and (where available) the fulltext of papers to find matching results. These results are ordered by relevance. Relevance is calculated based on text similarity to the search term, and weighted by citation count, meaning highly-cited papers score higher, all else being equal. If you search for a multiple-word phrase, the algorithm will treat each word separately, and rank results higher when the words appear close together.
